2021-22 Curriculum Update

IT’S TIME TO SHAKE THINGS UP! We are working closely with district curriculum specialists to draft new lessons that address the 2020 Colorado Academic Standards. Because all of our current partner our schools are in the Boulder Valley School District, we are also working to align with the new BVSD Elementary Year-At-A-Glance unit model.

UPDATE FALL 2022! We are excited about the new FOSS adoption! Please be patient, as that announcement came too late to be able to provide an integrated GTT curriculum. We have an exciting USDA Curriculum Development grant that will help us meet that goal!

Classes are encouraged to migrate to new lessons this fall, but old lessons are always an option. Please stay in touch so we can best support you and your class! Please communicate with your garden parent leads (login to view contact info) and GTT Program Director, lindsey@gardentotable.org, if you plan to stick with an old lesson. For details on all grade levels, see the charts below. (Charts based on 20-21 BVSD YAAG)

Garden to Table Curriculum meets BVSD Scope and Sequence

The key to making this work across our program is COMMUNICATION. Providing meaningful garden-based learning activities for an entire school takes some challenging calendar wrangling. (It’s part of what makes our program a success!) The last thing we want is for anyone to feel frustrated by heading out to the garden only to learn that the lesson or activity they had in mind won’t work. School-based volunteers and GTT staff are here to help – let’s keep in touch!
