Garden Educator / Curriculum Writer

This position will allow an experienced educator to help build on our 15 years of partnership with local schools to create an updated curriculum for PreK-5th grade classes. The primary role will be as Garden Educator teaching existing and new lessons in the Fall (August – October) and Spring (March-May).  Winter months will be spent writing and finalizing a new curriculum for use by garden educators and classroom teachers.   • Part time (20-30 hours/week), August through May, potential for summer work
  • $20-25/hr based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement

Garden Educator / Americorps Position

This is a short term position that will launch you into a career of outdoor, experiential education with an emphasis on gardens, sustainable food systems, and hands-on science education. You will teach garden-based science lessons for students in Prek-5th grade, help to maintain school gardens, and assist in operating a grassroots nonprofit organization.   • July 16 – October 31, 2022
    • Living allowance of $1120/month up to a maximum of $3,925
    • $150/month housing stipend
    • Education award of $1,678 upon successful completion of term of service
    • Extensive training, valuable experience, networking and the opportunity to serve
