Garden Educator – Jan. 24-July 29, 2022

This is a full-time, 6-month (900 hours) community service position through the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education’s Americorp program. The primary role will be as garden educator for five high-needs partner schools, with lessons scheduled from March through May, then as instructor at summer garden camp June through July.  Late winter will be spent in preparation for programming, program orientation/training, and in support of professional learning offered to partner educators. Internship – Spring 2022

This internship will focus on supporting our schools and staff by assisting in the maintenance of our partnering school gardens, including but not limited to: harvesting, irrigation work, weeding, assisting with larger upkeep and new garden builds, assisting with integrated pest management applications, promoting, set up, and clean up at fundraising events, donation assistance to local food banks and achieving food security goals, and assisting parent volunteers before, during, and after school garden lessons. Please note: we have Covid safe policies and procedures in place to protect our staff, volunteers and community members. Flexible schedule, starting in March, 5-10 hours/week.
