Our program impacts over 6,500 students, 320 teachers, and 200 volunteers across 18 schools. Every student participates every year! Here are some recent highlights from our updated curriculum and augmented program supports:
- Our new Lesson Menu provides up to three scheduled and supported lessons per season, up from just one in past years
- Students are visiting their gardens for lessons nearly twice as often as they did five years ago!
- Teacher satisfaction is at 97% – up 14 points since we introduced our updated curriculum
- Teachers report increased student engagement and learning associated with garden lessons
- Every grade level has at least one key garden task every season, and 40% of lessons have planting, harvesting and/or tasting!
